Couple Systems founded 2007 in Germany and focused on environmental technologies for international maritime shipping. Its’ mission is to become the technology leader for exhaust gas cleaning systems in the marine industry within the next five years.
Couple Systems’ business is innovation, development, manufacture and marketing of exhaust gas cleaning systems for the reduction of emissions of ships.

Jan Hafkemeyer began his career with the Mercedes-Benz Group. Following this, from 1992, he organised and successfully built up one of the leading brands in European direct sales. At Couple Systems he is responsible for Finance, Supply Chain and HR.

role here since 1994.In 2003 he started in the shipping industry at
Aqua Signal AG, Bremen. At this time he was simultaneously president of
the U.S. subsidiary Aqua Signal Inc. Subsequently, he occupied the same
position at the American subsidiary of Torqeedo GmbH in Chicago.
Torqeedo is the leading manufacturer of electric drives for sport boats
and winner of the German Founders’ Award 2007.

Ralf Jürgens can look back on more than 20 years of experience in filtration and absorption technology, in particular exhaust gas cleaning in power plants and waste incineration plants. He is a member of various technical committees and international scientific panels. In addition he is a visiting lecturer at the University for Applied Sciences in the Engineering Department in Reutlingen.
He is the leading developer of DryEGCS® and authored the letters patent. Ralf Jürgens manages the Research & Development department.

Since 1977 Lutz-Peter Nethe has been active in the area of flue gas cleaning for power plants and other thermal processes with management responsibility. He had a leading role in the development and introduction of sorbent materials based on lime/carbon mixtures. In addition he is a member of various technical committees and international scientific panels and is a holder of patents.
